What to Expect From Your First Therapeutic Massage
Nervous about your first session? Here is exactly how it works, from intake to aftercare.
If you have never had a therapeutic massage, the unknown can feel a little intimidating. Here is what a first session actually looks like.
The intake conversation
We start by talking through your history, any pain or injuries, and what you want to get out of our work together. This shapes the entire session.
The treatment
You are always in control of pressure and comfort. Therapeutic work can be firm, but it should never be something you simply endure.
Aftercare
Hydrate, move gently, and expect to feel the benefits build over the next day or two. I will give you a couple of simple things to do at home.
Booking your first session is the hardest part — and it is the one that pays off the most.
